I had a great time in Dallas last night at WBAP's "Rush to Texas" in support of a benefit for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. WBAP is heavily involved with them. We had 2,200 people in the NOKIA Theatre, which is just a nice place, a huge entertainment complex. I saw it out of the window flying in and I was stunned. It was just a great venue and the crowd, the audience, was spectacular. They had a number of Purple Heart recipients from, I think, Iraq and Afghanistan in the audience last night.

At the meet and greet beforehand, a couple of Texas State Legislators approached me, Dan Flynn from District 2 and Bill Zedler from District 96. They made me an honorary Texan. They had this big blue folder containing a certificate they had signed along with Governor Rick Perry. I tell you, I love going down to Texas. Texans love being Texans, and they love being Americans -- and for those of you who asked, no, they don't have any state income tax, so they had no ulterior motive in giving me this great honor.

Dear Mr. Limbaugh,

It is my esteemed honor, along with Governor Rick Perry and Secretary of State Roger Williams, to recognize you as an honorary Texas citizen. Please consider this a hearty welcome to Texas... Your leadership, your dedication, and exceptional efforts for conservative policy are certainly instrumental in earning this honor for you and it's an honor for our great state as well. You're an upstanding American and today an esteemed Texas citizen. Thank you for your allegiance to conservatives and responsible policy.

May God bless you and the great state of Texas.

Governor Rick Perry
Secretary of State Roger Williams
State Representative Dan Flynn, House District 2

Before the curtain goes up and I go out there, there are always these meet and greets backstage. You meet potential sponsors, existing sponsors.

I am now an honorary Texan. I love going to Texas. Texans love being Texans. I have enjoyed it every time I have gone there.
